What’s on offer Competitive hourly rate of $40/hr Daily travel Allowance provided A temp to perm opportunity Flexibility of working hours based on site location Work closely with a supervisor at all time on site Monday to Friday 7am – 3pm Immediate start for the right person Responsibilities We are seeking a reliable and skilled Trade Assistant to a Service Technician responsible for the safe repair and servicing of storage tanks across Sydney and regional locations. This role involves both external and internal tank repairs, installation of factory fittings, liners, and more, all performed with a strong commitment to safety and quality. Conduct thorough inspections, maintenance, and repairs on storage tanks in line with company standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations. Diagnose issues, identify repair needs, and prepare accurate parts lists, materials, and labour requirements for each job. Perform internal and external tank repairs, including structural adjustments, sealing, welding support, and component replacements. Complete on-site assembly, commissioning, and functional testing of tank systems and related components. Safely operate tools, equipment, and machinery while adhering to all SMR procedures, WHS regulations, and company safety protocols. Document all service activities, including site reports, repair notes, photos, and customer sign-off requirements. Liaise directly with clients on-site, providing clear communication, progress updates, and guidance on maintenance or repair recommendations. Maintain an organised, safe, and clean worksite at all times, ensuring waste, tools, and equipment are properly managed. Identify potential hazards, improvement opportunities, or preventative maintenance suggestions and report them promptly to management. Essential requirement Proven experience working in a similar role Trade Assistant or Service technician Previous experience working with storage tanks is desirable Must have Driver license with own vehicle Must have Construction White Card, working safely at heights ticket and confined space ticket Ability to read, interpret and follow instructions accurately Physical fitness to meet the demands of a construction environment Good work ethic and positive attitude Willingness to commit long-term and grow in the business Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work autonomously and as part of the team If you believe you are the right fit for this opportunity, hit apply now!
