They are seeking an experienced Market Growth Manager - Power & Water to drive business development, client relationships, and revenue growth across their power and water practices. This is a commercially-focused role responsible for identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, and winning consulting projects across electricity infrastructure, renewable energy, water utilities, and related infrastructure sectors. You will build the client pipeline, lead pursuit activities, and work with technical teams to deliver winning proposals and business growth. As Market Growth Manager - Power & Water, you will be a key driver of revenue growth, establishing the firm as a trusted advisor to power and water clients whilst building lasting relationships with utilities, developers, and government stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Growth Identify and pursue business opportunities across power and water infrastructure sectors Build and manage sales pipeline across electricity networks, renewable energy, water utilities, and related markets Develop growth strategies for power and water practices Qualify opportunities and assess market potential Track pipeline metrics, conversion rates, and revenue forecasts Achieve revenue targets and contribute to practice growth Client Relationship Management Build and maintain senior-level relationships with utilities, developers, and government clients Serve as key account manager for strategic clients Understand client business drivers, challenges, and procurement approaches Position consulting services to meet client needs Expand relationships within existing client organizations Ensure client satisfaction and identify growth opportunities Pursuit & Proposal Leadership Lead pursuit strategy for major opportunities including tenders and RFPs Coordinate proposal development with technical teams Develop compelling value propositions and win strategies Manage proposal processes including pricing, approvals, and submissions Present capabilities and proposals to clients Negotiate commercial terms and close deals Market Intelligence & Positioning Monitor market trends, infrastructure investment, and policy developments Track competitor activity and market positioning Identify emerging opportunities in energy transition, decarbonization, and water infrastructure Develop market insights to inform growth strategies Contribute to thought leadership and market positioning Represent the firm at industry events and forums Strategic Partnerships Build relationships with industry partners, alliances, and joint venture partners Identify partnership opportunities to enhance service offerings Coordinate with alliance partners on joint pursuits Develop teaming arrangements for major projects Manage partner relationships and collaboration agreements Internal Collaboration Partner with technical leaders to develop service offerings and solutions Collaborate with project delivery teams on client engagement Work with marketing on campaigns, content, and brand positioning Coordinate across practices to deliver integrated solutions Share market intelligence and client insights across the business Support capability development and service innovation Commercial & Contract Management Develop commercial proposals including scope, pricing, and terms Negotiate contract terms with clients Manage commercial risk in proposals and contracts Support project commercial performance and contract variations Ensure proposals align with risk appetite and commercial objectives Essential Requirements Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline 8-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or consulting within infrastructure sectors Proven track record generating new business and achieving revenue targets Strong understanding of power and water infrastructure markets Experience selling consulting services to utilities, developers, or government clients Demonstrated success building senior-level client relationships Business Development Skills: Strong sales and business development capabilities with proven ability to generate pipeline and close deals Experience managing complex sales cycles and tender processes Ability to identify opportunities, qualify leads, and develop pursuit strategies Commercial acumen with understanding of consulting business models and pricing Strategic thinking with ability to develop account plans and growth strategies Results-oriented approach with track record of meeting revenue targets Market & Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of power sector including electricity networks, renewable energy, and energy transition Knowledge of water utilities including water supply, wastewater, and water infrastructure Awareness of infrastructure investment trends, regulatory drivers, and policy developments Understanding of client procurement approaches and decision-making processes Familiarity with consulting services including engineering, advisory, and project management Credibility to engage with senior utilities executives and infrastructure leaders
