Join Our Team: We are currently seeking an experienced Chef to join our vibrant team at Picnic Point. Picnic Point Toowoomba is conveniently located at 164 Tourist Road, Toowoomba QLD - 4350 Responsibilities : Ensure the seasoning and garnishing of food is done appropriately and right portion of food is served to the customers. Ensure the quality of food preparation and presentation is maintained all the time. Implement proper freezing and preservation techniques to extend the shelf life of certain ingredients without compromising quality. Provide support and assistance where necessary in all areas within the kitchen. To develop new seasonal menus and make appropriate changes in the existing menu such as changes in prices of food items maintaining minimum overhead costs. Educate kitchen staff on hygiene regulations and enforce strict adherence to sanitary practices. Rectifying arising problems or issues Ensure occupational health and safety standards are always maintained and adhered by the kitchen staff. Stock management including ordering, rotation, and wastage control. Oversee kitchen operations and coordinate kitchen activities. Prepare, season and cook food as per la-carte menu, meeting dietary requirements where required. Exhibiting to kitchen staff the different styles and methods of cooking. Maintain high standards of food hygiene accordance with regulatory standards. Qualification & Experience: Certificate IV qualification is desirable The candidate must have at least 2 years’ relevant work experience Friendly, positive & approachable attitude Well presented & motivated Able to work unsupervised under pressure.
