A position is now available for an experienced, skilled Biomedical Technician, who will be responsible for undertaking on-site service, repairs, maintenance and calibration of medical equipment in hospitals and healthcare environments - including electrical and mechanical servicing. To be successful, you will need to have a minimum of 2 years industry experience, excellent time management and problem-solving ability. Whilst this position is Wellington based, you will also be covering the Lower North Island and Top of the South Island also. Test & tag of equipment to compliance & regulatory standards Record and report equipment which is considered to be unsafe Complete service/repair records, accurately documenting & reporting findings Attend & participate in weekly team meetings Ensure adherence to health and safety standards Be available to travel as required, including overnight stays Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical qualifications in electrical/biomedical engineering, highly desirable 5 years' experience in a general service technician role with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a biomedical technician role NZ Electrical Registration with EWRB Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiar with CRM Systems and a working knowledge of MS Office Ability to work autonomously with pro-active problem-solving skills Strong listening and presentation skills Strong knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety Ability to pass a Police and Drug & Alcohol Check Current, clean drivers licence MUST have full NZ working rights.
