Make an Impact We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Improvement Specialist to join our team on the Sunshine Coast. Reporting to the General Manager of Home & Community and supporting the Service Delivery Leadership Team to operationalise, launch, and embed transformational changes. You will play a role in proactively identifying and implementing innovative continuous improvement solutions that enrich the lives of the people we support, enhance day-to-day operational effectiveness, and improve profitability. You will be driven to make a meaningful difference by delivering fit-for-purpose business improvement outcomes. This position is critical in partnering with Service Delivery leaders to provide practical implementation support for strategic initiatives, ensuring sustainable, impactful results and keeping the client experience at the centre of all we do. Key Responsibilities: Align Priorities and Strategy: Collaborate with key stakeholders to set priorities based on strategic goals, technology needs, and project requirements. Develop and Manage Initiatives: Establish a prioritised program of business improvement initiatives using a data-driven, evidence-based approach. Enhance Capabilities and Processes: Identify and implement improvements to processes, tools, and capabilities critical to operational success. Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Drive cross-functional teams to deliver initiatives, presenting recommendations to key stakeholders and senior leaders. Facilitate Workshops and Provide Expert Guidance: Lead workshops and provide continuous improvement advice to resolve critical business challenges. Implement Complex Changes: Partner with SMEs and leaders to develop and execute key changes that align with business objectives and resolve operational impacts. Manage Risks and Dependencies: Identify risks and interdependencies, deploying contingencies to ensure seamless implementation. Develop Tools, Documentation, and Business Cases: Create schedules, communication plans, training materials, business cases, and process documentation to support effective change management. Key Skills and Experience: You excel in navigating complex work environments, using strong facilitation, planning, and analytical skills to drive data-driven decisions. With expertise in project management and the ability to manage multiple priorities, you communicate effectively, stay organised, and confidently deliver outcomes under pressure. Holds a tertiary qualification or certification in business or project management, with strong experience leading transformational initiatives and service-driven projects across complex environments. Brings demonstrated leadership experience—ideally within the NDIS, Disability, Human Services, Child Safety, or Aged Care sectors—or has operated in roles such as Operations Manager or leader of a large service site. Possesses a solid understanding of general business operations, including financial acumen and experience leading leaders in multi-disciplinary teams. Skilled in managing cross-department collaboration, integrating people, processes, and technology to deliver strategic outcomes. Experienced working in regulated environments where safety, compliance, and client experience are paramount. Highly proficient in analysing data to inform decisions, prioritise improvements, and measure impact. Strong problem-solving capability, with the ability to identify issues, determine root causes, and implement effective, sustainable solutions. Knowledgeable in process improvement methodologies, change management, and systems integration, with the ability to apply structured approaches to deliver organisational uplift.
