We are now seeking an experienced Senior HSEQ Internal Auditor to join our team in Adelaide, Brisbane or Sydney. About The Role In this role you will provide assurance over the effective management of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality critical risks and the effectiveness of the HSEQ Management Systems by conducting assurance activities across our Australian operations. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards in health, safety, environment, and quality. This role contributes to Kelsian Group’s governance, assurance, and ESG framework by providing objective assessments of HSEQ performance, risk management effectiveness, and system maturity across all Australian business units. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Develop and deliver a risk based HSEQ Assurance Program covering Australian operations including providing insights to senior management on systemic issues, trends and opportunities for improvement. Support the external ISO certification audits by delivering required internal audits over the effectiveness of Management Systems. Monitor and report on the completion and effectiveness of corrective actions taken in response to audit finding and Management System mom-conformances. Prepare executive-level assurance reports for the Head of Risk, Assurance & ESG and relevant Committees, highlighting audit findings, systemic trends, and risk exposure levels. Partner with our global HSEQ teams to ensure HSEQ Assurance Programs are being delivered including monitoring and reporting on material audit outcomes. Undertake regular site visits to provide HSEQ coverage, monitor compliance, and support safe and efficient site operations. Provide expert HSEQ guidance to senior management, projects, and site teams to ensure compliance safety and environmental legislation and relevant Australian/International standards. Provide advisory services and promote continuous improvement in safety performance and safety management systems within Kelsian Group. Provide leadership, driving a positive culture within the business on safe work practices. Monitor regulatory developments and contribute to policy, process, and control enhancements. Contribute to benchmarking of HSEQ management systems maturity across operations to identify leading practices and emerging risks. Travel primarily across Australia, with potential for international assignments to deliver regional assurance programs. About You To be successful in this role, you will Possess a strong knowledge of legislative compliance, risk-based auditing, non-conformance and correct action management experience. Demonstrated experience influencing and partnering with senior operational leaders to drive behavioural change. Excellent communications skills both written and oral. Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills; ability to interpret and visualise audit data. Have the ability to interact effectively with colleagues within and externally to their immediate team. Possess well-developed self-management skills and demonstrated ability to work autonomously and under your own initiative to deliver accountabilities. Possess a tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety (Essential) Certified Lead Auditor qualification in ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and/or ISO 9001 (Essential) Comprehensive understanding of International Standards 14001, 9001, and 45001 A minimum of 5 years' experience in HSEQ compliance, audit, or risk management within a complex, multi-site or regulated environment. Must hold PR or Australian Citizenship; no Visa support/sponsorship or transfers will be offered.
