PROJECT CONSTRUCTION MANAGER — EXCLUSIVE CLIENT Lead Ground-Up Builds & High-Quality Fit Outs Across a National Portfolio We are partnering with an exclusive client to recruit an experienced Project Construction Manager with proven capability delivering built-form construction from the ground up , not just interior fit outs. This is a pivotal role for a construction professional who thrives on technical complexity, tight timeframes, and high delivery standards. You will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of new building projects and refurbishment programs, overseeing everything from early feasibility and site investigations through to tendering, construction delivery, handover, and post-completion reporting. Exceptional communication, commercial acumen, and contract administration expertise are essential. THE PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE To lead the full delivery of new-build and reinvestment projects across a national development pipeline—ensuring each project is executed safely, on time, on budget and to the highest quality standards. This role drives program outcomes, manages internal and external stakeholders, and ensures every project reflects the organisation’s operational, brand, and commercial requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Business & Commercial Leadership Support planning and execution of the regional development and growth pipeline for new sites. Assist in long-term reinvestment planning across existing assets. Manage budgets, contingencies, forecasting and commercial contracts with strong financial discipline. Continuously develop technical knowledge, leadership skills, and understanding of business objectives. Project Management (End-to-End) Take full ownership of assigned projects across all lifecycle phases: feasibility, design, tendering, construction, fit out, commissioning, handover, and close-out. Administer construction contracts effectively, including superintendent responsibilities and legislative compliance. Provide clear, timely communication to internal stakeholders, external consultants, and contractors. Deliver high-quality project reporting, cost administration, risk management and schedule control. Ground-Up New Builds Partner with internal teams to plan and deliver successful openings. Review and assess site investigation reports including civil, services availability, geotechnical data and environmental assessments. Incorporate lease/vendor requirements, authority conditions and development constraints into project planning. Evaluate all technical documentation to ensure accuracy, feasibility and compliance with required standards. Lead tender processes and appoint contractors, suppliers and consultants. Oversee commissioning, defects close-out, operational manual collation, as-built documentation and final cost analysis. Reinvestments & Refurbishment Projects Plan and deliver refurbishments that elevate customer and operational experience. Review and evaluate design documentation to ensure compliance with current brand and technical standards. Manage tender, contract award, construction delivery and post-completion tasks as above. Team & Stakeholder Leadership Share learnings and insights to continuously improve systems, processes, and cross-functional collaboration. Challenge processes respectfully to drive innovation and efficiency. Mentor Assistant Project Managers in best-practice delivery across time, cost, quality and safety. Uphold all internal governance documentation, safety standards and legislative requirements. Participate in team meetings, site visits, presentations and broader development initiatives. ABOUT YOU — SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Degree in construction, architecture, engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years in a similar construction project management role. Demonstrated capability delivering ground-up built-form projects as well as complex fit outs. Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly. Advanced relationship-building skills and stakeholder management capability. Solid knowledge of NCC/BCA, WHS legislation, Australian Standards and SOPA legislation. Strong understanding of Australian Standard contracts and contract administration. Highly organised, deadline-driven, methodical and calm under pressure. High integrity, ethical approach to work, and a collaborative mindset. Ability to work independently and travel regionally/interstate as required. WHY APPLY?
