The primary focus of this role is to support end-to-end recruitment and onboarding across both our Corporate and Operational teams. This includes coordinating the full recruitment cycle for corporate positions and overseeing the development and induction experience of our Disability Support Workers, particularly during their first six months. The role plays an active part in Competency Assessment Days, which focuses on supporting the capability of newly recruited staff, so they are well-prepared for their roles within the organisation ARC. This includes confidently speaking to groups of new staff, supporting training delivery, and working alongside facilitators to ensure a positive and well-structured learning experience. The role is also responsible for providing award reporting to relevant teams, preparing and issuing pay point progression notices, and tracking and reporting on annual performance reviews. In addition, the role supports the organisation’s permanent-pathway obligations under current legislation, including monitoring the casual workforce, identifying eligible employees, and coordinating conversions to permanent employment. The position is varied and requires a flexible, responsive approach, along with strong general administrative skills, attention to detail, and confidence in drafting HR processes, procedures. Additional assistance to the HR team will include, workforce engagement initiatives, and general HR administration, while providing backup across HR functions during busy periods or team absences. Confidence in supporting performance management is essential—you’ll have the full support of the HR Manager along the way. Previous experience in HR/Recruitment OR have transferrable skills in regard to HR practices. Demonstrated understanding of the Award and Fair Work/N.E.S. and Industrial Relations Outstanding communication and strong interpersonal skills, with both internal and external stakeholders Processing of sensitive employee information. Knowledge of various H.R. functions such as the award, recruitment, on boarding, evaluation, training and development. High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality. Working with Children (Blue Card) and Disability Services (Yellow Card) and a Right to Work within Australia Undertake pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
