The Capability branch is committed to a thriving and capable workforce equipped with the skills and confidence to support every student to realise their potential. A key part of the Capability branch is the Education Futures Institute (EFI) that delivers high-quality, evidence-informed and equitable capability development for a diverse workforce across key career stages. The EFI provides high quality, targeted professional learning for staff located in metropolitan, regional, rural and remote locations across the state. The EFI empowers staff with the skills, knowledge and capability to excel in their role. The role of Project Officer is offered on a full-time temporary basis, until 30 June 2026, with the possibility of extension. About the role As Project Officer, Educational Leadership you will play an important role in leading and coordinating the delivery of high-quality professional learning at the Education Futures Institute, Capability Branch. Key functions of this role include: Planning and initiating activities of flagship programs in line with project objectives and timelines Procuring flagship program elements including venues and key partners Preparing reports, spreadsheets, planning documentation and other written correspondence utilising a range of computer software packages. Resolving problems and assist in the development and implementation of initiatives, policies, processes and systems for effective and efficient administration of departmental services. Communicating and managing cohorts within flagship programs The Project Officer reports to the Manager, Educational Leadership. The ideal applicants are individuals who demonstrate: Understanding of the vision and strategic directions of the Department of Education Flexibility to work across a number of priorities. High level writing and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and coordination skills.
