The Role An opportunity has become available for an Occupational Therapist - Senior (Cordyline, Community Service Mental Health and Specialist Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. You will Apply professional judgement to a complex caseload adapting routine clinical practice Undertake high level holistic care with consumers who have or may have a mental illness including assessment and planning Develop, deliver, and evaluate high quality in-service education on occupational therapy Provide support and assistance in the management and monitoring of consumers with complex psychosocial needs About you To be successful in this position you will require: A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy AHPRA Registration Driver Licence Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) Benefits Flexible work options Career Development Salary Packaging Modern Facilities Diverse Work Culture Research Opportunities 12.75% super 17.5% leave loading Salary Permanent full time Base salary ranging from $128 169 - $ 137 918 per annum About Us Mental Health and Specialist Services (MHSS) provide contemporary, integrated hospital and community specialised mental health assessment and treatment services across the age-spectrum. Our services aim to be consumer focused and recovery oriented. Community Services are based at Southport Health Precinct, Palm Beach Clinic and Robina Hospital and provide specialist community based mental health services for consumers aged between 16 - 65 years. Care and treatment are consumer focused, multidisciplinary, comprehensive and collaborative.
