About the work unit / facility The Townsville University Hospital Physiotherapy Department is part of the Allied Health Services Division and is led by a Physiotherapist. Services are delivered across the continuum of care to a wide range of patient groups in inpatient, outpatient, and domiciliary settings. The department provides a 24-hour service through an on-call and weekend roster. Physiotherapists routinely work in intensive care, medical and surgical acute care, musculoskeletal, rehabilitation, oncology, rural facilities, women's and children's health, and community health. (HP4) 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation Plus great Salary Packaging options About your opportunity Deliver high-level physiotherapy clinical services and provide clinical leadership across acute services at The Townsville University Hospital. This position is integral to maintaining high standards of physiotherapy practice and contributing to the ongoing development of acute medical and surgical physiotherapy, with the aim of optimising patient flow and experience. The role also serves as a key resource in acute physiotherapy for staff, service managers, and health care consumers within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. In addition, the position contributes to a 7-day service, including after-hours and on-call responsibilities. Requirements: Possession of a qualification in physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution and current registration, or eligibility for current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia. This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
