2 week - 1 month opportunity in the tropical Cairns region. Our client is seeking a trade-qualified Motor Mechanic to assist with light servicing and basic mechanical tasks at their airport workshop. The role involves straightforward work on a modern fleet of rental vehicles, all under two years old. Perfect for someone reliable, hands-on and comfortable performing routine mechanical duties. About the Role This position focuses on basic servicing and minor repairs—no diagnostic work required. You’ll be working within a clean, well-organised workshop in a supportive team environment. Key Responsibilities Basic lube servicing and scheduled maintenance Oil changes and fluid top-ups Tyre puncture repairs and replacements Replacing mirrors and small external components Ensuring vehicles meet basic safety and operational standards Keeping accurate service notes and following WHS procedures About You Trade-qualified Motor Mechanic (or overseas equivalent) Minimum 3 years’ experience in light mechanical work Confident completing routine servicing and minor repairs Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work independently Valid driver’s licence Backpackers may apply if qualified and experienced Workplace Health & Safety All PPE supplied (except work boots) Airport-based workshop, clean and modern environment What’s in it for You Stable full-time role with 38 hours per week Flexible working hours Competitive pay: $35.15–$38.45 per hour (experience dependent) Straightforward duties with no complex diagnostics How to Apply If you're interested, please apply online today! .
