In this role, you’ll play a key part in strengthening Quartex’s security posture by supporting incident response, monitoring our security tools, and assisting with broader Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) activities across our product suite. You’ll help ensure our systems and data remain secure through proactive detection, analysis, and remediation of threats. As our newest Junior Security Analyst, you’ll: Support the monitoring, triage of alerts from key security platforms such as CrowdStrike, Datadog, and Microsoft 365 Defender. Assist in the investigation and documentation of potential security incidents. Escalate positive findings or potential issues to senior analysts Contribute to ongoing Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) activities, including control evidence collection, risk tracking, and vendor security reviews. Help maintain accurate records of security findings, tickets, and improvement actions across internal systems. Support recurring cyber initiatives such as penetration testing, phishing simulations, and staff cyber awareness training events. Assist in internal security projects that enhance visibility, automation, and control maturity across the Quartex environment. Collaborate with Technology teams to promote security awareness and ensure secure-by-design practices. Stay current with emerging security threats and contribute ideas to strengthen Quartex’s detection and response capabilities. What You’ll Bring We’re looking for someone who is curious, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in the cybersecurity field. You value teamwork, take initiative to learn, and care deeply about helping keep systems and data secure. You’ll fit right in if you enjoy collaborating across teams and turning complex security concepts into practical, real-world outcomes. You’ll also bring: A foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles such as threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response. An interest in Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) processes or a willingness to learn how policies, risks, and controls fit together in a SaaS environment. Basic familiarity with tools such as SIEM, EDR, or vulnerability management platforms (e.g. CrowdStrike, Snyk, Microsoft Defender, or similar). Strong written and verbal communication skills — especially for documenting findings and collaborating across technical and non-technical teams. A proactive and analytical mindset, with a passion for continuous learning and improvement. An enthusiasm for contributing to internal security initiatives and improvement projects. An interest in supporting company-wide cybersecurity awareness activities such as training events, phishing simulations, and penetration testing exercises. Qualifications Recent graduate or final-year student in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related discipline. Foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, and controls. Working knowledge (academic or practical) of areas such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, and security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, Essential 8) is desirable. Strong willingness to learn and achieve industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security, SANS GSEC, or equivalent).
