About Us: JK Legacy Pty Ltd, trading as Coconut Kulture, is conveniently located in Peregian Beach, a pleasant coastal town in Queensland's Sunshine Coast Region. Coconut Kulture specializes in delivering an authentic Thai cuisine experience. We are currently seeking a full-time Chef to join our skilled and dynamic team at our restaurant. Our location is Shop 4B/1 California Blvd, Peregian Beach, QLD 4573. Responsibilities: Monitor the quality of both raw and cooked food to maintain high standards. Oversee food preparation to accommodate customers' special dietary needs. Plan and create menus featuring appealing dishes and seasonal specials while keeping costs in check. Ensure meals are prepared according to hygiene standards and delivered promptly to customers. Train, recruit, and mentor kitchen staff and apprentices to build a strong team. Ensure proper seasoning, garnishing, and portion sizes are maintained as per restaurant standards. Supervise staff adherence to occupational health and safety regulations. Manage inventory and procure high-quality raw materials. Store food items in temperature-controlled facilities to maintain freshness and safety. Provide guidance to kitchen staff on handling cooking equipment and demonstrate various cooking techniques. Evaluate and estimate costs for food preparation and staffing. Address and resolve operational issues to ensure smooth business operations. Skills and Experience: Certificate IV qualification is required. The candidate must have one year of experience in a busy restaurant. Friendly, positive & approachable attitude. To be energetic & motivated. Able to work under pressure.
