About the Role Based at Centennial Parklands, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and preparing some of Sydney’s most iconic cricket wickets and sporting surfaces. Working within a dedicated team of turf professionals, you’ll oversee the preparation, maintenance, and renovation of cricket pitches and surrounding turf to meet the highest standards of playability and presentation. You’ll: Prepare and maintain turf wickets and practice facilities to competition and event standards. Conduct pitch preparation, rolling, watering, mowing, scarifying, and topdressing schedules. Manage soil profiles, moisture levels, and turf health for consistent performance. Operate and maintain turf and wicket-specific machinery. Assist with outfield maintenance, irrigation management, and seasonal renovation. Work collaboratively to plan schedules around weather, fixtures, and turf cycles. Support sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives. What You’ll Bring Certificate III (or higher) in Sports Turf Management or equivalent qualification. Demonstrated experience in cricket wicket preparation and turf curation. Strong understanding of turf agronomy, irrigation, soil management, and seasonal cycles. A proactive, safety-focused approach with excellent attention to detail. Current driver’s licence (MR licence desirable). White Card (desirable). Genuine pride in producing premium playing surfaces.
