In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing the ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) volunteering lifecycle including attraction, retention, training and recognition for our valuable unpaid workforce. As Assistant Director, you will lead our Learning and Development team in designing and implementing a range of programs aimed at enhancing skills acquisition, maintenance, and professional growth. Your strategic insights will drive the identification of training needs of ACTSES and the seamless execution of tailored solutions to meet those needs. In this role you will be producing high quality analysis of training and membership needs, assist with the development management and reporting of the ACTSES training budget while ensuring value for money propositions and government financial/procurement policy is followed. Eligibility/Other requirements: Experience and Qualifications in design and delivery of adult education and an understanding of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector is highly desirable. A qualification in Training and Assessment or the ability to achieve it is highly desirable A strong understanding of Volunteers in emergency management is desirable. This position requires an ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration. Background and Security clearance checks will be conducted including National Police Check.
