Carers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers across NSW and improving their quality of life through activities, programs, training and policy advice. As the Residential Respite Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining clear and up-to-date visibility of residential respite availability across NSW Region 4 (Central Coast, Hunter New England and North Coast) by building strong relationships with residential respite facilities. Working in partnership with providers, this role ensures timely access to vacancies, including emergency respite. This is a full time contract position until 26 June 2026. Responsibilities include: · Coordinate and liaise with residential respite facilities to monitor bed availability · Update bed availability information into our database system to ensure Coordinators have accurate real-time availability for urgent and emergency respite bookings · Act as the central administrative contact for all residential respite enquiries from internal staff and external providers · Maintain current and accurate service provider information, including contact details, vacancy patterns and facility providers · Monitor expiry dates for residential respite agreements and proactively prompt renewals in line with internal contract management processes · Liaise with providers regarding administrative queries, including booking confirmations, invoice clarifications or follow up as required Our ideal candidate should possess the following skills and attributes: · Minimum Cert III in Community Services, Aged Care, Business Administration or other relevant discipline and/or ability to show demonstrated work experience relevant to the role · Experience in administration, with a high level of professionalism and care · Strong customer service focus with the ability to interact positively and build rapport with a wide range of people · Proven ability to liaise and negotiate with service providers · Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks · Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced changing environment · Demonstrated skills in clear, confident and professional phone communication · Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems and have a great eye for detail and accuracy · Understanding of and commitment to the needs of carers and the importance of timely access to respite To learn more about what we do and for the full Position Description and selection criteria, please visit our website, www.carersnsw.org.au Employment Requirements: · Satisfactory Police Check · Current Working with Children Check · COVID-19 Vaccination · Rights to live and work in Australia Salary and Benefits The Salary is around $77K-$83K super.
