The Opportunity We’re looking for an experienced Traffic Engineer to join our Planning and Mobility (PAM) team in our Sydney office. Our PAM team is a committed group of professionals with skills covering: transport planning; traffic engineering, intelligent transport systems and transport modelling. We work on the most exciting, high-profile transport projects in Sydney and throughout Australia. With a long pipeline of work, this role provides the opportunity to work on some of the most exciting transport projects in the region, including metro, light rail, high-speed rail, bus rapid transit, ferry through to cycling and pedestrians. Our ideal candidate will bring: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in civil or transportation engineering Experience working with government and private clients in NSW Proficient with local guidelines, including Australian Standards, Traffic Impact Assessment and Transport Modelling Guidelines Familiarity with transport modelling software, such as Aimsun, VISSIM, and SIDRA Working knowledge and use of AutoCAD and GIS is preferable Comfortable presenting to clients and building relationships within the industry Strong technical report writing Ability to manage projects, proposals and pursuits You will also be required to: Identify new business opportunities and deliver projects directly to the client in an effective and timely manner. Prepare high-quality winning proposals and write quality technical reports. Provide technical rigour to studies, including data analysis. Aid in the development of more junior engineers and distribute work to the team where necessary.
