Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated Painter / Blaster to join our rapidly growing team in Darwin. Initial focus will be hands on running the day-to-day duties, working closely with supervision and management to successfully complete site awarded contracts. This is a fantastic opportunity for career progression and would strongly suit a self-motivated person.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting using sanding, blasting, or mechanical methods
- Apply paint and protective coatings using brush and roller techniques
- Ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards
- Comply with safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate effectively with team members on assigned projects
Skills and Experience:
- Experienced in industrial or commercial painting
- Solid understanding of safety protocols and PPE requirements in industrial settings
- Physically capable of performing manual labor and demanding tasks
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively on-site
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years’ painting experience or a trade certificate in surface preparation
- OHS Construction Induction White Card (Essential)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Confined Space Entry certification (Desired)
- Fire Sentry Training certification (Desired)
- Must be able to hold and obtain a National Police Clearance (Essential)
