Our client is seeking professionals for roles commonly known as Community Development Officer, Community Support Worker, and Housing Officer. These positions focus on facilitating community development initiatives and creating collective solutions within a community to tackle issues related to recreational, health, housing, employment, and other welfare concerns. Key Responsibilities: The roles involve assessing clients' needs and devising, developing, and implementing educational, training, and support programs. Interviewing clients to determine the nature and extent of their difficulties. Monitoring and reporting on client progress. Referring clients to additional support agencies as needed. Evaluating community needs in areas like health, welfare, housing, employment, training, and other facilities and services. Working with community groups, welfare agencies, government bodies, and private businesses to address community issues and raise awareness of community resources and services. Supporting families, providing education, and caring for children and disabled persons in various service units, group housing, and government institutions. Supervising individuals on probation and parole. Helping young people with social, emotional, and financial challenges. Preparing funding submissions and reports for government bodies and other agencies. Qualifications and Experience Required: Skills equivalent to an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) are necessary. Three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed. In certain situations, relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to formal qualifications. English Language Requirements: An overall IELTS band score of 5.0 or equivalent is required, with at least a 4.5 score in each test component. Skill Assessment Requirement: Qualifications and/or experience must be assessed and certified by the relevant skills assessing authority to align with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) standards.
