Our client is on the lookout for candidates to fill the position of Nursing Support Worker. This role entails providing limited patient care under the supervision of nursing staff. Key Responsibilities: The job involves assisting patients with personal care activities such as showering, dressing, and eating. Candidates will also aid patients with their mobility and communication needs. Active participation in the planning of individual care is a key aspect of the role. Implementing therapy plans for patients with conditions like dementia and behavioural issues is part of the responsibilities. Observing, recording, and reporting any changes in patients' conditions, including complaints about care, are essential duties. The role also includes assisting with rehabilitation exercises, administering basic treatments, and delivering medications. Providing direct support to therapists is another important task. English Language Proficiency: Candidates must achieve an overall IELTS score of 5.0 or equivalent, with minimum band scores of 5.0 in Speaking and Listening, and 4.5 in Reading and Writing. Educational and Professional Experience Requirements: The required skill level corresponds to an AQF Certificate II or III, or at least one year of relevant experience (ANZSCO Skill Level 4). In some cases, relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be necessary in addition to formal qualifications. Note: Some roles within this occupation are classified at ANZSCO Skill Level 3. Skill Assessment: The candidate's qualifications and/or experience must undergo assessment and certification by an appropriate authority to ensure they align with the relevant Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) standards.
