Flooring Finisher Job Responsibilities: Install, finish, and repair various types of flooring materials such as hardwood, vinyl, laminate, and carpet. Prepare surfaces for installation by removing old flooring, leveling subfloors, and ensuring the area is clean and free of debris. Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific areas, ensuring precision and accuracy in all installations. Apply stains, sealants, and finishes to enhance the appearance and durability of completed flooring projects. Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met and make any necessary adjustments or repairs. Essential Qualifications: Recent full-time experience in this line of work. (presently employed) Proven experience as a Flooring Finisher with a minimum of 5 years in the industry. Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements. Strong attention to detail and knowledge of various flooring materials and techniques. Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise cutting and installation. Desired Experience: Experience working on commercial and residential flooring projects. Familiarity with different installation methods and tools used in the industry. Certifications in flooring installation or finishing techniques are a plus.
