Key Responsibilities: First Point of Contact for Breakdowns: Act as the initial responder to machine breakdowns and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize production disruptions. Maintenance and Upkeep: Ensure the production area is well-maintained and all equipment is in optimal working condition. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop, update, and implement SOPs to ensure consistency and compliance with operational standards. Line Operations: Assist in starting up, shutting down, and running the production line as needed to ensure seamless operations. Escalation of Issues: Escalate complex breakdowns or operational issues to the appropriate teams for resolution in a timely manner. Training and Upskilling: Assist in training operators and supporting their development to enhance overall team capability. Planned Maintenance Schedule (PMS): Complete all relevant PMS tasks, including scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance activities. Maintenance Requests: Identify, document, and escalate any maintenance work required, ensuring timely follow-ups through iLeader requests. Downtime Reduction and Efficiency Improvement: Analyse and address downtime causes, implementing solutions to improve overall line efficiency. New Equipment and Processes: Support the commissioning of new machinery or processes, ensuring proper integration and functionality. Equipment Manuals: Update and maintain accurate equipment manuals to reflect changes and updates in operation or maintenance procedures. Tool Servicing: Assist in the cleaning, inspection, and servicing of tools and equipment to maintain performance standards. Safety and Compliance: Conduct safety start-up checks and sign-offs to ensure all equipment and processes meet safety regulations. What We’re Looking For: Hands-on experience with machine operation and production lines. Good technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain machinery, Basic Computer Skills Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including operators, maintenance teams, and leadership. Ensure machines are regularly checked, cleaned, and maintained. Monitor and control machine performance. Inspect machinery using appropriate tools. Check machine output and identify any issues. Good understanding of production procedures and best practices. Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and handbooks. Good physical stamina and keen attention to detail.
