As a line 1 Risk Manager for Marketing & Growth, you’ll embed UniSuper’s risk management framework within the Marketing & Growth business unit. You’ll ensure risks are identified, assessed, and managed effectively, driving a strong risk-aware culture and supporting operational excellence. You’ll champion risk management practices, deliver operational risk reports, support audit and assurance activities, and collaborate across teams to uplift risk capability and drive outcomes together. Key responsibilities: Champion UniSuper’s risk management framework, policies, and risk appetite measures. Develop and maintain risk profiles for Marketing & Growth. Coordinate control assurance assessments and track action plans to completion. Deliver monthly operational risk reports and execute Line 1 control assurance reviews. Support internal audit and assurance activities as required. Monitor, track, and report on risk events, breaches, and compliance obligations. Collaborate with teams across Product, Business Development, Employer Partnerships, Marketing, Digital, and Corporate Social Responsibility to embed risk practices. Partner with Line 2 Risk Advisory to strengthen risk management maturity. Influence senior leaders to remediate open risks and implement preventative measures. About you You will have at least 5 years’ experience in Line 1 (essential) or 2 Risk within banking, financial services, or a relevant sector, with a strong operational risk management background. You’re skilled in controls and process management, and have proven ability to influence and consult with stakeholders at all levels. You’re a critical and analytical thinker, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law, Risk Management, or a relevant discipline are required.
