Key responsibilities: The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities for embedded network services, including prospecting, qualifying leads, and converting opportunities into commercial outcomes. Develop and deliver compelling pitches, proposals, and presentations tailored to customer needs. Lead negotiations to secure new contracts and agreements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements. Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with embedded network customers, acting as their primary point of contact for commercial matters. Regularly engage with customers to identify opportunities for additional value, upselling, or cross-selling embedded network services. Analyse commercial data and financial performance of embedded network services to support decision-making and business growth. Interpret trends, identify risks, and highlight opportunities for improvement using appropriate analytical tools. Lead change initiatives to improve and streamline embedded network processes, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness. Act as the primary point of contact for the embedded network manager, utilities providers and ancillary service partners, including metering and data services. Maintain accurate records of contracts, agreements, and service arrangements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. Collaborate with colleagues in finance, operations, asset management, and other business units to deliver integrated commercial solutions. Represent the embedded network function in cross-functional meetings, projects, and initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives. The successful candidate will have: Demonstrated experience in business development, business development, or customer relationship management, ideally within utilities, energy, or embedded networks Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to understand and interpret financial information and business drivers Confident working with spreadsheets and commercial data to support decision-making and reporting Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and stakeholders Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on delivering business outcomes Exposure to embedded networks, utilities, or infrastructure environments Experience supporting commercial projects or contract management Previous experience working in a team reporting to finance or commercial functions Formal tertiary qualifications are not mandatory, but a background in business, commerce, or a related field would be beneficial.
