The Responsibilities Assisting in setting up and preparing educational and recreational materials for children's activities Managing children's behaviour and helping them develop positive social skills Planning and conducting age-appropriate activities for children's learning and entertainment Engaging children with stories, games, and creative play to promote learning Supervising children during recreational activities to ensure safety and engagement Overseeing children's daily routines, including transitions between activities Ensuring children's hygiene is maintained by supporting hand washing and toileting routines Encouraging children to participate in group activities to enhance social interaction Providing individual attention to children as needed to support their emotional and developmental needs Monitoring children's progress and providing feedback to parents or guardians Collaborating with other staff members to create a nurturing and educational environment Assisting children with meals and ensuring they are following proper mealtime etiquette Managing conflict resolution between children in a calm and constructive manner Maintaining a clean and organized environment for children to explore and play The Requirements Minimum Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care At least 2 years of demonstrated experience in early childhood education or childcare. At least 2 years of experience supervising children during daily routines and recreational activities. At least 2 years of experience developing and implementing learning programs aligned with EYLF. At least 2 years of experience engaging with parents and guardians to support children's progress. At least 2 years of experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary childcare team. Comprehensive knowledge of early learning frameworks and child development principles. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment. Current First Aid and CPR certifications (including Asthma and Anaphylaxis management). Proven adaptability and commitment to providing quality early childhood education.
