Job Title: Heavy Vehicle Service Technician/Diesel Mechanic Location: Mount Druitt, NSW Employment Type: Full Time Hours: Day Shift Salary: $95,000 – $99,000 per year super (based on experience) About the Role The company is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Service Technician to join their team in Mount Druitt, NSW. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong mechanical background who enjoys working on a variety of heavy vehicle equipment in a fast-paced and supportive environment. The Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues on heavy vehicle equipment Perform routine maintenance, inspections, repairs, and machinery overhauls Maintain accurate service records and documentation Support the service team in improving processes and operational efficiency Provide on-call, field service, and occasional interstate support as required Collaborate with customers and maintain strong service relationships Stay up to date with industry trends, technology, and best practices Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Service Technician, Diesel Mechanic, or similar role Experience in breakdown and diagnostic repairs Certificate III in a relevant trade discipline is encouraged Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team Valid driver’s license; HR and forklift licenses highly desirable Experience with high-pressure water and vacuum pumps advantageous What’s on Offer Opportunity to join a skilled and supportive service team Hands-on work on a variety of heavy vehicle equipment Opportunities for on-call, field service, and interstate work Competitive pay and permanent full-time hours This role offers the opportunity to develop further technical expertise, gain exposure to a wide range of heavy vehicle machinery, and participate in on-call, field service, and occasional interstate work, providing variety and professional growth within the role.
