You will play a vital role in providing care and support to participants, with the added benefit of flexible hours that fit your schedule. As a Support Worker, you will work collaboratively within the team to support and provide service to participants in line with the values of the organisation. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to: Helping participants explore their interests and hobbies through range of programs and recreational activities. Transporting participants to events and appointments. Admin duties such as completing progress notes, charts and incidental reports. Providing personal care including toileting, showering, dressing and feeding as required. Essential Requirements of the role: Ability and willingness to provide personal care and support activities of daily living in a residential setting Strong communication skills and demonstrated flexibility in methods of alternative and augmentative communication, particularly being able to use active listening skills Undergo a satisfactory background check including NDIS Workers Check and/or Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain) Hold a current driver's licence (minimum P2) Valid First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) Have personal mobile device that meets our system requirements, which is typically a device purchased in the last three years Certificate III in Disability Services (desirable) Right to work in Australia Comprehensive Car Insurance and Motor Vehicle Registration Program Overview: Group Program Hours: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday Direct Support Hours: Flexible shifts available from Monday to Sunday, ranging from 2 to 5 hours per shift.
