About the role Destec is presently looking for a Mechanical Fitter to become valuable member of maintenance & operational teams. The teams are focused on maintaining fixed plant crushing, screening, and associated machinery and equipment at a Tier One mine site located in the Pilbara. Salary: $184 576 per annum full time superannuation on all hours. To be successful in this role you will require the following: Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter qualifications Working at Heights - obtained within 2 years or willing to obtain/renew Confined Space Entry - obtained within 2 years or willing to obtain/renew Gas Test Atmospheres (obtained within 2 years) - obtained within 2 years or willing to obtain/renew Knowledge of fixed plant components, such as crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps and chutes, etc. Current driver’s license What we ask of our people: Ability to interpret drawings and instructions Analytical and methodical approach to problem solving Be reliable, driven and self-motivated Adhere with project rules and requirements Attention to detail Ability to be safety conscious Ability to work well in small teams Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen Ability to pass a respiratory & hearing fit testing requirements.
