Civil Designer – Landmark Building and Urban Development Projects Sydney or Brisbane | 12d or Civil 3D | Established Australian Consultancy A NEW opportunity exists for an experienced Civil Designer to join a growing Australian-owned consultancy recognised for delivering high-quality civil design and documentation for complex building and urban development projects. With GROWING civil teams in Sydney and Brisbane , this position offers the flexibility to be based in either location, working on some of Australia’s most significant developments. The Opportunity You’ll be involved in the design and coordination of civil works that support major building and infrastructure projects, from high-rise towers and mixed-use precincts to hospitals and commercial buildings. This is a technically focused role suited to a designer who takes pride in precision, quality, and collaboration. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed civil designs for building-related projects using 12d or Civil 3D . Undertake design of siteworks, earthworks, grading, stormwater drainage, and external pavements. Coordinate design interfaces with architectural, structural, and services disciplines. Support engineers in developing concept, detailed, and construction documentation. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements. Contribute to continuous improvement of design tools and processes within the team. Skills and Experience Qualification in Civil Engineering or Civil Design. Minimum 4 years’ experience in civil design, ideally within the built environment or urban development sectors. Demonstrated proficiency in 12d or Civil 3D . Strong technical knowledge of grading, drainage, and external works design. Excellent communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
