We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) leader who can inspire and energise their team, fostering a culture of excellence to drive the achievement of objectives under the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Blueprint Project over the next two years. What will you do? The Senior Director Workforce Transformation and Capability plays a pivotal role within the People and Culture Branch, responsible for the development and implementation of the deliverables under the VET Blueprint Project leading key transformation initiatives, including the design, delivery and implementation of a VET Workforce Capability Plan, job families, role profiles, Capability Framework, and other contemporary learning solutions, specifically focusing on uplifting digital capabilities and workforce maturity levels. Reporting directly to the Executive Branch Manager, People and Culture, the Senior Director is a strategic partner to Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) leadership, contributing to the development and sustainability of workforce services and advice throughout CIT. This role provides a strategic lens by bringing together specialist CIT and HR expertise to ensure accurate and timely communication of critical information to relevant stakeholders, while upholding and providing specialist advice in compliance with legislation and enterprise agreements. What do you need? The successful candidate will have experience in leading and implementing workforce transformation initiatives within a VET or similar environment. They will have experience in strategic and operational HR workforce planning practices and in managing multiple workforce management projects. They will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to produce quality workforce outcomes under pressure whilst managing competing priorities to meet tight deadlines, with impeccable attention to detail. Communication and interpersonal skills will be a key strength to enable the cultivating of productive working relationships, stakeholder engagement, and guidance of a high performing team to achieve goals.
