Milestone IT is working with a major Melbourne organisation undergoing a large uplift of their cloud data platform. We’re now seeking two experienced GCP Data Platform Engineers to join the team on an initial 6-month contract, working 3 days per week onsite in the CBD. These roles suit engineers with strong GCP, Python and Terraform skills who enjoy building reusable frameworks, modern data pipelines and cloud-native platform components. What you’ll be doing Building & enhancing infrastructure components for a modern GCP-based data platform Developing dbt models, frameworks, accelerators and tooling Designing & improving data pipeline utilities using Python Automating environments and deployments with Terraform Integrating GCP with enterprise systems, APIs and external tools Working closely with architects and platform teams in a collaborative engineering environment What we’re looking for Must-have skills Strong hands-on experience with GCP (BigQuery, GCS, GKE, Cloud Run) dbt experience (models, tests, macros, CI/CD) Solid Python development background Strong Terraform experience (modules, automation, IaC best practice) Experience building or enhancing modern data pipelines Nice-to-have Qlik CDC Argo Workflows Control-M Kubernetes Collibra Experian data quality tools Why you’ll love this role Two contract roles available 6-month engagement with extensions likely Hybrid – only 3 days a week onsite (CBD) Work on a modern cloud-native platform Excellent engineering culture Represented by Milestone IT To apply online, please click on the appropriate link below.
