UGL is expanding its team for the Western Power contract and is seeking a skilled Cable Jointer / Lineworker to support critical electricity distribution infrastructure across the Perth metropolitan area. This newly created role offers a dynamic mix of underground jointing (30%) and overhead linework (70%), with a strong preference for candidates who are authorised switchers. You’ll be part of a high-performing team delivering safe, reliable, and cost-effective energy solutions to Western Australian communities. Key Responsibilities Perform HV/LV cable jointing, terminating, and testing (paper lead and polymeric cables) Construct, maintain, and repair overhead and underground distribution systems Interpret technical drawings and work instructions accurately Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards Collaborate with team members to meet project milestones efficiently Support switching operations if authorised About You Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems – Distribution Overhead (UET30619) or equivalent Proven experience in both underground jointing and overhead linework Demonstrated experience in HV/LV Underground Paper Lead Cables Demonstrated experience in HV/LV Underground Polymeric Cables Authorised RIC – Distribution/Transmission (Western Power) Current driver’s license and relevant network authorizations (desirable) Strong commitment to safety and teamwork Switching capability highly regarded What We Offer $56/hour employee benefits overtime penalties $4.00 per hour remote allowance Immediate start with long-term career opportunities Technical development and training support A safety-first, collaborative team culture Long-term contract with strong job security Interested?
