Reporting to the Permit to work Manager, the PTW Officer is responsible for effectively managing the permit to work procedure for one of our major infrastructure projects based in Brisbane. You will be responsible for: Design, coordination, authorisation, issuance, and integration of Permit to Work (PTW) systems to ensure construction, QA, and commissioning activities can be safely completed within a commissioning area. This includes ensuring all supporting documents are in place, adequate isolations are implemented, and approval flows and timeframes are adhered to. Design, authorisation, and installation of isolations to enable safe access to de-energised equipment in line with PTW and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) systems and procedures, while ensuring efficient return to service. Conduct inspections and audits of PTW systems, including closing expired work permits, verifying effectiveness, maintaining registers, and ensuring overall compliance. Ensuring all subcontractors/labour understand the scope of work assigned to them, their related contractual obligations and policies and procedures.
