About the role We are seeking a dedicated Records Management - Officer to deliver training and support to our business customers. This role ensures compliance with corporate, regulatory, and legislative requirements while supporting the records needs of our business customers. You will play a key part in managing the full lifecycle of records and information, reducing physical and electronic records, and maintaining data integrity across systems. What the role will involve Provide support to business customers and internal teams on records management, lifecycle management, and information classification. Provide advice and assistance on applying records lifecycle principles, including naming conventions, metadata capture, and disposal schedules. Ensure efficient indexing and apply retention policies to physical and electronic records. Assist with business engagement for file/folder creation and metadata capture. May conduct records management audits and quality assurance to meet corporate standards. Support the team in the development of records management process, including creating work instructions and other guidance materials. Identify and resolve data integrity issues related to indexing, naming conventions and retention. Coordinate with alliance partners, external service providers, and vendors for records and mail management needs. Stay informed on records management development and ensures governance meets regulatory requirements. Key skills and experience To succeed in this role, you will bring: Essential: Strong foundation in records indexing and classification standards, supported by considerable experience in applying these practices. Familiarity with the use of enterprise scale Electronic Records/Document Management systems as a record keeping platform. Proficient in applying records management tools such as Retention & Disposal schedules to ensure compliance and consistency. Knowledge & Skills: Understanding of keyword file classification principles and practices. Demonstrates a strong understanding of records compliance and governance requirements Knowledge of records/document management principles and relevant legislation. Strong computing skills, including Microsoft Office and ability to learn corporate systems. Excellent communication skills. Willingness and ability to travel to regional offices to support recordkeeping activities Personal Attributes: Ability to work effectively as part of a service delivery team.
