About the role: We have an exciting new opportunity for a Support Officer – Building Maintenance to join our team. What you can expect with this role Action general building maintenance requests received through the Corporation’s internal Building Maintenance Request portal. Perform scheduled and unscheduled (breakdown) maintenance through actioning any items that pose a safety risk or hazard. Carry out workstation installations and staff moves in Water Corporation office accommodation. Arrange storage sheds and pick and pack orders for the Facilities team, including modifying desks and furniture to send to regional sites. Assist sub-contractors, trades assistants and operators to find faults on site and work with them to action required repairs including shifting furniture and removing items from the areas. Prioritise the week ahead duties by assessing what tasks are urgent or have safety implications to staff and arrange materials and communications for carrying out works. Manage the closeouts of building maintenance requests by adding information around the actions they have carried out in reference to the task and attaching completion photos, so the requestor gets notified their concern and report has been followed up and actioned. Your skills and experience For this role, we are looking for great talent with: You will have the capability to communicate at all levels along with excellent problem-solving skills. You learn concepts quickly and able to work well under pressure Your ability to work through a broad range of issues as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a complex and ambiguous environment is essential. Broad communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills will be important when undertaking this role. Being appropriately qualified and experienced in a similar role will be necessary, where you can demonstrate your ability and knowledge of manual handling techniques and how general tools are used. You will need a WA Drivers Licence, Forklift and Working at Heights tickets along with a Construction White Card and First Aid Certificate. Sound like a match?
