As a Recovery Support Worker, you will provide evidence-based, recovery-oriented support to people at risk of homelessness, those transitioning from acute mental health wards, and individuals engaged with community mental health services. You will walk alongside clients as they work toward sustainable housing options, increased independence, and the goals that matter most to them. In this role, you’ll assist with day-to-day tasks and recovery activities, strengthen clients’ confidence and capacity, and build strong professional relationships with families, services and community partners to achieve the best possible outcomes. As part of a dedicated team, you will manage your own caseload and receive ongoing, on-the-job supervision and support. Your Key Responsibilities: Provide practical, day-to-day client support, including assistance with daily tasks, recovery activities and progress toward identified goals. Deliver person-centred, recovery-focused support using evidence-based approaches grounded in compassion, empowerment and mutual respect. Support clients through key transitions, including hospital discharge, community re-engagement and securing sustainable housing. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build client capacity, independence and community connection. Assist supervisors with client assessments, risk assessments and reporting to ensure safe, high-quality service delivery. Maintain accurate, timely documentation and reports using organisational systems and mobile technologies. Contribute positively to team culture and continuous improvement through supervision, feedback processes and service enhancement initiatives. You will have: Degree or Diploma or Certificate in a human service related field and/or demonstrated previous experience working with people with mental illness Ability to work autonomously and professionally within RFQ's service philosophy and values Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time, own case load and KPI's including outcomes measures and safety planning Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with clients, colleagues, stakeholders, and service providers A strong sense of professional boundaries and integrity Why RFQ?
