ROLE SUMMARY Financial Accountant will be responsible for the timely delivery of standardized financial processes Perform certain financial compliance, month end, reporting, GMX and other manufacturing finance specific activities on scope Partner effectively in a team environment to deliver financial services to the business (good quality and in compliance) Work in cooperation with plant personnel, Global Financial Solutions (GFS), Decision Support CoE, and other Finance organizations as needed Support continuous process improvement initiatives ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure accounting transactions are in compliance with Pfizer accounting policies and US GAAP Process month end, general accounting and reporting activities; including accruals, journal entries, Fixed assets management, T&E, GMX, Financial Reporting Segmentation, GR/IR, SOX compliance, statutory and others Works closely with the Finance Manager to ensure alignment on financial activities and timeline Prepare the account reconciliations ensuring compliance with policies and procedures Participate in Corporate, GFSS and Global CoEs initiatives as required Promote a Continuous Improvement Culture and Standardization initiatives Support the site in any required finance matter with high level of quality and efficiency Maintain complete and accurate standard operating procedures and SOX related internal control documentation Support Weekly Forecasting Analysis, Annual Budgeting Process and Quarterly Latest Estimates Prepare and send Board report to Pfizer Australia (Quarterly) Balance Sheet review with GBS team and prepare key outcomes Co-Ordinate Intercompany shadow accounts. Prepare quarterly supplemental forms submission Support the annual financial external audit Inventory adjustment review Review of Provisions. Accounting entry for provisions co-ordination Monthly Report back of RIDS impact by driver. MRB participation Capital Support to Project Team. Provide Financial Guidance in preparation of CPA's with Project Team Cash Flow Actuals & Forecasting with GBS and Project Team Co-Ordinate quarterly Fixed Asset impairment review Capitalization Quarterly assessment of CPA benefits been actualization or not /if any/ Cadency review Weekly Review of New Purchase Order Provide commentaries for any overspend vs budget. Monthly Spend Analytics Reporting. LE Spend / Budgeted Preparation EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required Minimum 5 years of relevant functional accounting/finance analysis experience Good written and verbal English communications skills required Strong PC (MS Excel, Word, Power point) and financial modelling skills required.
