About the role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supervisor Waste Education to lead the delivery of innovative waste education and behaviour change programs that support Council’s strategic waste objectives. This role plays a key part in promoting sustainable practices and positioning Parramatta as Australia’s next global city. On a daily basis you will: Lead and manage a team delivering waste education and community engagement programs. Develop and implement award-winning initiatives that promote recycling, waste avoidance, and circular economy principles. Collaborate with internal teams, government bodies, NGOs and community groups to deliver impactful waste programs. Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, adapting strategies to improve outcomes. Prepare reports, contribute to policy development, and support the implementation of Council’s Waste Strategy. About you You are a confident communicator with the ability to influence and lead teams to deliver high-impact education programs. You will also bring: Minimum 5 years’ experience in waste education, project management or related fields. Proven ability to develop and manage education programs that drive behaviour change. Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills. Demonstrated leadership experience including coaching, performance management and team development. Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to provide strategic advice and manage complex projects. Qualifications Certificate IV in Waste Management or Frontline Leadership. Current NSW Driver’s Licence (Class C) What’s on offer This is a permanent opportunity.
