About the Role Our BuildCam camera system provides a flexible and reliable solution for site monitoring. With 24/7 supervision of residential construction sites, our customers and stakeholders can track developments in real time. In this newly created role, we are seeking an experienced IT Support Officer to join our expanding BuildCam team. This position plays a key role in maintaining and supporting BuildCam’s technology and IT infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for the setup, troubleshooting, and monitoring of BuildCam systems, as well as footage and data management, software and hardware updates, and both customer and internal support. The successful candidate will provide integral support to all aspects of BuildCam’s IT systems and services, both onsite and remotely. This position is hands-on, dynamic, and suited to someone who thrives in a problem-solving environment and enjoys working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Your Core Responsibilities Provide onsite and remote technical support to internal teams and clients Set up, configure, and troubleshoot BuildCam camera systems, modems, and solar monitoring equipment Conduct quality assurance checks and ensure systems meet performance standards Manage system updates, maintenance, and asset tracking Monitor power, data, and connectivity performance across all BuildCam systems Provide guidance and technical support via phone, email, or chat Assist in continuous improvement by refining processes and identifying optimisation opportunities About You You’ll have recent experience working in a similar IT support role, with relevant qualifications in information technology or a related discipline. You’re someone who can work within defined timeframes, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to achieve great outcomes. You’ll also bring: Experience on a Service Desk or as an IT Support Officer Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills (hardware, software, and networks) Basic knowledge of server and networking hardware Understanding of network setup, connectivity, and troubleshooting Experience conducting quality assurance checks on technical systems Ability to monitor system performance, data integrity, and security alerts Excellent communication and customer service skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems What Buildsafe Can Offer You Join a scaling division backed by an established national brand, where your contributions genuinely make an impact.
