About the role This position sits within our Transport Cluster, a dedicated team responsible for fast, safe and reliable delivery of hire equipment across our network. As part of this group, you'll play a key role in getting the right gear to customers on time while supporting smooth operations both on the road and in branch. You'll work a 5/4 split across a fortnight, combining driving and customer service responsibilities: 6 shifts focused entirely on driving - pickup, delivery and safe loading/unloading of gear 3 shifts in-branch, providing customer service, front-counter support, inspecting and servicing equipment, and helping keep the branch running smoothly As the face of Kennards Hire, we'll train and support you so you can confidently deliver expert advice, safe demonstrations, efficient deliveries, and high-quality equipment our customers can rely on. What You'll Be Doing Carry out 100% driving duties on your Transport Cluster driving shifts Safely deliver and collect equipment, including loading and unloading Demonstrate safe and correct use of equipment to customers Provide standout customer service on the road and in branch Complete check-in/check-out inspections of gear Perform basic equipment servicing, cleaning and minor repairs Assist with general branch presentation and housekeeping during your in-branch shifts About you You don't need a hire or machinery background, our best people have joined us from customer service, construction, retail, hospitality, delivery driving, landscaping and trades.
