This hands-on role is ideal for a motivated machine programmer/operator with strong planning skills and a mechanical mindset. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Machine Programmer / Operator and Planner to support our production operations. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, planning and operating various machines to produce quality components, while ensuring efficiency and adherence to blueprint specifications. Your ability to read mechanical drawings, plan workflow, and execute precise programming will be key to your success. Key Responsibilities Program and operate machines for drilling, grinding, milling, stamping, bending, etc. Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings to understand specifications Translate technical instructions into machine commands using CAD/CAM Plan workflow for multiple machines and ensure output meets project requirements Monitor machine operations, make adjustments, and troubleshoot as needed Perform quality checks and ensure products meet design standards Conduct routine maintenance and uphold safety procedures Collaborate with sales, engineering and customers to resolve drawing discrepancies Adhere to workplace health, safety and environmental guidelines What You'll Bring Experience in CNC machine programming and operation (wood and metal, ideally in building products) Skilled in Prime Power Turret punch and brake press programming/operation Proficiency with precision measurement tools and CAD/CAM software Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving and multitasking skills Excellent communication and organisational skills Certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant trade qualification About us: Founded in 2001, Frontline Human Resources (FHR) is a specialist provider of human capital solutions with a predominant focus on the industry sectors of transport & logistics, warehousing, civil infrastructure, mining, operations, maintenance, construction, manufacturing and healthcare.
