About the role We're seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Risk Frameworks and Policies to join our high-performing Risk Centre of Excellence team. This Line 2 role drives strategic risk appetite evolution, framework simplification, and enterprise risk maturity. You'll define CPS 220-aligned standards, develop strategic risk profiles, uplift risk culture frameworks and practice, and enhance ESG risk frameworks. This permanent position involves collaboration with the Head of Enterprise Risk and CRO while maintaining Line 2 independence across our multi-regulated organisation, providing constructive challenge and strategic decision support to business units Key Responsibilities Risk Appetite & Strategy Development • Lead annual and ad-hoc updates of the Risk Appetite Statement• Cascade Risk Appetite effectively to operational levels• Continuously improve the Risk Management Strategy• Develop metrics and calibrate tolerances for Risk Appetite Strategic Risk Profiling • Evolve the enterprise strategic risk profile in collaboration with executives• Facilitate strategic risk workshops with senior leadership• Assess emerging risks and opportunities impacting strategic objectives• Create strategic risk reporting for Board Risk Committee and Executive Line 2 Framework Management • Define Line 2 risk management standards aligned with CPS 220• Establish and maintain the Risk Culture Framework and practices• Develop frameworks for emerging risk classes including ESG, climate, and AI risks• Improve and maintain the enterprise Risk Maturity Model• Design and implement Line 2 assurance plans Business Partnership & Advisory • Partner with business units to deliver real-time advisory and decision support• Provide independent risk assessments for new products and initiatives• Enable innovation by identifying risk-aligned solutions within appetite• Build trusted relationships whilst maintaining constructive challenge Strategic Framework Leadership • Drive framework simplification and policy rationalisation initiatives• Champion the Risk-as-a-Service proposition across the organisation• Foster innovation and continuous improvement within the Risk COE About you Essential Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Law or related discipline• 8-12 years' risk management experience, with at least 5 years in senior Line 2 roles• Proven track record in designing risk frameworks within financial services• Deep understanding of the three lines of defence model• Strong knowledge of APRA prudential standards and regulatory requirements Highly Valued Qualifications • Post-graduate qualifications in Risk Management or Business Administration• M&A due diligence and business integration experience• GRC system implementation or transformation experience Key Technical Skills • Deep understanding of Line 2 responsibilities and CPS 220/CPS 230• Risk maturity model design and assessment• Risk culture framework development and evaluation• Exceptional written (Word, PowerPoint) and presentation skills.
