Your future in food starts here | Production Supervisor THE OPPORTUNITY Location: Lance Creek Kilcoy Global Foods currently has permanent opportunites for Production Supervisors to join our team in a fast-paced, beef production environment. Work environments will vary from agricultural, production, refrigeration. ABOUT THE ROLE: These are hands-on roles where you will be instrumental in leading and delivering production outcomes. Working closely with our Operations Management and alongside our existing Production Managers, you will manage and lead cost-effective meat processing production activities and associated activities. The role will also ensure that our shifts meet organisational targets and produce quality product, whilst at all times committing to our non-negotiable workplace health and safety, food and hygiene safety standards. You will be required to: Lead and manage supervisors to develop and maintain production schedules, throughput and output, collaborating with Sales and Marketing to meet sales requirements Oversee the minimisation of wastage i.e. dropped meat, packaging, overtime, labour costs, over production, ensure chain speeds at realistic tolerances, managing resources, etc. Contribute to setting and delivering on production goals and objectives, including budget planning Ensure optimal coordination and allocation of resources to deliver production requirements efficiently and effectively within budget, including minimising utility and consumable usage Deliver to budget, consistently reviewing and analysing production data to respond to potential and real barriers to meeting budget targets Make informed decisions based on a risk management approach to halt production if required Ensure reports are accurate and timely especially as they relate to costing, materials usage, yield, productivity, labour utilisation, payroll and other key financial indicators ABOUT YOU: To succeed in this role, you’ll need to bring the following experience and skills: Five years experience in a production management position Strong leadership experience within FMCG or manufacturing essential Experience in the meat industry highly regarded Great communication skills to be able to lead, coach and mentor your team Enthusiastic and forward-thinking approach to leadership and management Solution focused, fostering new ideas and initiatives A collaborative and inclusive approach to communication with all stakeholders Experienced in delivering to budget and schedules An ability to drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement with good critical analysis skills Focus on training and up-skilling/cross-skilling team members Understanding of Food Quality and Safety Standards Attention to detail, initiative and time management skills Ability to use Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel) BENEFITS Remove heavy traffic from your daily commute.
