First Class Machinists Position with Client in Australia Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced First Class Machinists to join their team. The successful candidates will be instrumental in operating and maintaining a variety of machine tools, ensuring the production of items meets exact specifications and quality standards. Applicant Requirements: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a First Class Machinist, demonstrating extensive knowledge and skill in precision machining. Must provide evidence of qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent, specializing in machining. Required documentation includes references from previous employment, pay slips, a valid passport, and police clearance. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate a variety of machine tools including lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce precision parts and instruments. Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces. Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers. Adjust and calibrate machine tools and equipment to ensure accuracy during the machining process. Design and fabricate custom tools, jigs, and fixtures necessary for the completion of manufacturing tasks. Maintain industrial machines, performing regular maintenance and repairs to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency.
