12 month role Brisbane CBD based Our Queensland Government client is seeking an experienced Product Management Coach to elevate the capabilities of their product management team. This role is part mentor, part strategist, and part change agent—working directly with novice and mid-level product managers to accelerate their growth, while also partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement high-quality product delivery processes. Coaching & Development Provide 1:1 and group coaching to novice and developing product managers. Build capability in areas such as customer discovery, prioritisation, roadmap development, stakeholder communication, and agile product development. Help PMs reflect on and improve their approach, mindset, and impact. Process Design & Implementation Partner with product leaders and cross-functional teams (engineering, design, business) to co-create scalable, efficient product management processes. Support the rollout of frameworks and practices that enable better product outcomes (e.g., OKRs, product discovery rituals, feedback loops). Promote continuous improvement and learning within product teams Cross-Functional Collaboration & Culture Building Act as a thought partner to senior leadership to align on product strategy and team capability needs Foster a culture of customer-centricity, experimentation and accountability Identify gaps in product practices and propose interventions to address them. Capabilities / Desirable Attributes: · Proven experience as a Head of Product, senior product manager, or product coach. · Passion for developing people, with a strong track record of mentoring or coaching product managers. · Deep understanding of modern product management practices, agile methodologies, and cross-functional collaboration. · Skilled at process design and organizational change, with the ability to balance structure and flexibility. · Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. · Comfortable navigating ambiguity and tailoring approaches to different maturity levels. · Coaching certification (e.g., ICF, ICAgile) or formal training in coaching methodologies would be considered advantageous. · Experience working in government environments would be desirable.
