Position Overview: Reporting to the Business Owner / Managing Director, this comprehensive role will be responsible for month-to-month financial management and reporting to meet the financial objectives of the business and interests. You will work closely with managers and stakeholders to provide analytical support to drive financial performance, and commercial excellence across each part of the business. The Person: While flexible in requirements, preference will be shown to applicants able to demonstrate: Formal tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Business. CPA, CA or ICA certification (or the willingness to obtain). Proven experience in a similar role as an Accountant that includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed asset management, ATO reporting and general ledger management. Experience with Microsoft Business Central ERP. A high level of organisation with a process driven focus and attention to detail. The Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of the position will include: Financial analysis and Management reporting. Management of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll & Reconciliations. Cash flow forecasting and company finance. Fixed Asset management. General Ledger management and maintenance. Yield analysis and cost/benefit analysis for production runs. Preparation of GST, FBT and income tax reporting. Preparation of spreadsheets to facilitate data management and report generation. ERP management & training. Identification and management of Government grant opportunities Internal controls to ensure compliance with organisational policy, Australian Accounting Standards, and relevant legislation.
