The opportunity will be a hands-on management role that will oversee workshop operations, steel sales, capex projects across the group's production units and ultimately, expansion of the business unit. The Duties: The management position at Kewpie Steel will ensure the success of the steel and fabrication business through: Maintaining customer service standards including the processing of quotes, orders and invoicing. Planning and scheduling jobs to ensure timely and efficient completion. Assisting with the completion of workshop fabrication projects. Ensuring accurate completion of documentation for admin support staff to process. Managing staff including rosters, job allocation, training and mentoring. Maintaining quality and safety standards throughout the fabrication workshop, sales areas and off-site projects. Attending and contributing to Kewpie management meetings. Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures. The Requirements: Applicants must be able to demonstrate: Relevant trade qualifications or extensive experience as a boilermaker, welder or fabricator. A high level of planning, organisation and time management skills. A strong customer service focus. The ability to work autonomously with an enthusiastic proactive approach in the workplace. Strong team management, training and support skills. High attention to detail. The ability to apply quality assurance processes to completed jobs and procedures. Proven comprehension and numeracy skills to enable accurate calculations for the preparation of quotes and reports. A minimum "C" class driver licence. A focus on workplace safety. Although not essential, preference will be shown to applicants also able to provide any of the following: Confined Spaces ticket Working Safely at Heights ticket Current forklift licence An active interest in the rural sector.
