We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Leading Hand to join our dynamic team at the Rydalmere Workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity to work hands-on with a global leader, where your leadership and technical expertise will play a key role in guiding our workshop team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality service and solutions to our valued customers. Key duties include Lead and coordinate a small Workshop team Ensure high standards of workmanship throughout the Workshop are maintained with positive mentoring and leading by example. Provide regular updates to the Workshop Supervisor to ensure timelines are met and communication is maintained. Workshop installations and pre-delivery inspection duties for all new or used cranes and hook loaders Fabrication and installation of subframes from design to development and manufacture Service duties of new and used vehicle loading cranes and hook loaders Completion of all job documentation Always working in a safe manner and adhering to site policies and procedures in order to enhance the safety culture & performance of the site. To be successful, you will need: Prior experience in a Leading Hand role working in a similar industry Hold a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical, Fabrication Trade, or equivalent; Experience working on heavy vehicles Experience with cranes and or hook loaders an advantage Ability to interpret drawings and procedures Have strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Have strong communication and interpersonal skills Have demonstrated ability to work safely Have good time management and work prioritisation skills Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word for communication, reporting, and documentation. Have a current Drivers licence, HR preferable; Be able to pass a pre-employment medical and a National Police Check.
