About the Role BMD is continuing its strong growth trajectory with a robust pipeline of projects across Australia. We are seeking a Project Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background, specialising in water and wastewater infrastructure projects, to join our Constructions business unit for works in the Central Coast Region of NSW. As a Project Engineer, you will support the delivery team by providing technical expertise and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, design, and contractual requirements. You will work closely with senior engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality outcomes and gain exposure to complex infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Assist in the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Provide technical input on mechanical systems and process equipment. Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Collaborate with site teams and subcontractors to achieve project objectives. Support cost control and scheduling activities. Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). Experience in water and wastewater projects (preferred). Ideally 3–5 years’ onsite experience in infrastructure delivery. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Commitment to health, safety, environmental, and quality outcomes. Enthusiasm to learn and contribute to innovative solutions.
